Position Closed... Post-doctoral position in the development of membrane materials for fuel cell application at the University of Montpellier. A position is available immediately for a post-doctoral research assistant with a background in polymer synthesis or modification, in particular experience in development of ionomer membranes for application in PEM fuel cells operating at medium or high temperatures. The position will involve research on fuel cell membrane materials (polymer synthesis or modification, membrane development, membrane characterisation, fuel cell testing). Salary will be concomitant with age and experience. The position is available for 12 months, with starting date by mutual agreement. Interested candidates are invited to send a CV via e-mail to Deborah Jones or Jacques Rozière.Informal enquiries can also be made to the email addresses below or by telephone: +33 467 14 3330 or +33 467 14 3341.

Position Closed... The Division of Polymer & Materials Chemistry at Lund University in southern Sweden offers a scholarship for a Postdoctorate position for the duration of one year (with a possibility of extension another year) in the field of polymers and membranes for fuel cells. The performance and durability of proton-exchange membrane fuel cells is today very much determined by the nature and limitations of the polymer membrane. In the current project we will explore the functions of new types of proton conducting polymers, and the project will include the molecular design and synthesis of polymers by various polymerisations and chemical modifications. We invite applications from candidates with a strong background in synthetic polymer chemistry with an experience with polymerization procedures and characterization techniques. A successful applicant should be able to integrate into a creative and interdisciplinary working environment, and collaborate with other research groups within the framework of an integrated European project. Interested candidates should submit a CV and a list of publications via mail to Dr. Patric Jannasch, Lund University, Div. of Polymer & Materials Chemistry, P.O. Box 124, SE-221 00 Lund, Sweden or via e-mail to Patrick Jannash.Informal enquiries can also be made to the email address below or by telephone: +46-46-222 9860.

Position closed... The Division of Polymer & Materials at Lund University in Sweden offers an immediate scholarship for a Postdoctorate position for the duration of two years in the field of polymers and membranes for fuel cells. The performance and durability of proton-exchange membrane fuel cells is today very much determined by the nature and limitations of the polymer membrane. In the current project we will explore the functions of new types of proton conducting polymers, and the project will include the molecular design and synthesis of aromatic polymers by chemical modifications and polycondensations. We invite applications from candidates with a strong interest and background in synthetic polymer chemistry with a considerable experience with polymerization procedures and characterization techniques, preferably in the field of proton conducting polymers. A successful applicant should be able to integrate into a creative and interdisciplinary working environment, and collaborate with other research groups within Autobrane. Interested candidates should submit a CV and a list of publications via e-mail to Patric Jannasch, Lund University, Div. of Polymer & Materials Chemistry, P.O. Box 124, SE-221 00 Lund, Sweden.
